I did some horse trading with Clamperbrother, and received this in the mail today. I can't wait to try it out. Great job C!

That is excellent!  Are you going to build a plug into the end of the stock where it goes into the frame or hardwire it?

Is this a candidate for a "how to do it" thread?  Would he want to do that?

I already have a bird wired with a plug so it took about fifteen minutes to wire it with a Dean's connector. They slide perfectly into the back of the gun. The way I originally did the plug in the gun was to drill a hole on the left side of the frame under where the solenoid goes, and close to the edge so when the solenoid was back on the wires would not be in the way. I hot glued the female connector in the stock, and then connected it to the male side with leads. Then I fed the wires through the back of the left side of the gun, and out of the hole, and seated the the stock in the gun with the connectors until it was home. Then I filled the hole I fed the wires through with hot glue.

I will ask him.

If I were to do it again I would have put the female connector on the stock. This would avoid the possibility of the packs being shorted out. My mind just doesn't work that way.

Just fantastic! Very well done.

Soon we will have a working Air "M41A Pulse Rifle" from the movie "Aliens"!

That's quite reminiscent of Mike Tong's G36 mod. Maybe we are so close we did it a long time ago without realizing it ;D

I was just thinking we should start documenting some "standard" things so future development could use those existing standards until outdated.  I like the deans plug myself, so if that with the female in the stock, male in the frame is a standard, then new stuff could match up to that.  A how to on the various batteries and components in the stock already exist out there.  It would be good to have the add-on drill battery as well.  I have a stockpile of the HF drill/light batteries from when they are on sale.

Clamperbrother said he would take pictures of a build he was working on over the weekend. I'm not sure if he is here under a different avatar, but one of us will be sharing the pictures with hopefully descriptions. It would be really helpful to people just getting involved if there were a section for standard Drozd mods. I certainly don't mind if you move any of my threads around if it can make things more organized. For now here are a couple of pics he sent for me to share, and a brief video I made to showcase it while promoting the new forum.

Someone with this setup asked me to mod his mag for 4K. Here are the results.

Here is a sneak peak at the 24 V stock mod by Clamperbrother. This time he is using a Greenworks system. I am loving the way the way I see the ergonomics going! It looks like it will be a smaller silhouette that packs a bigger punch. I can't wait to see more!

The topic of 24 V is moving to a new thread under G24 Stock.
