Are you using the stock valve spring in the mag head?  Did you change the solenoid return spring?

I don't think a weaker spring will help it cycle faster.  You need a stronger spring or springs.  The pressure in the chamber will help the valve close, but the spring is also needed.  At 4000 rpm the firing cycle must be completed in 15 ms!  I do not have the exact spec on the Drozd solenoid, but on ones I think are similar, you will have to have high power and limited travel to be able to cycle the solenoid that quickly.  The same applies to the valve.  In that 15ms time you have to accelerate all the moving parts, do some work, accelerate in the opposite direction, get back to the closed valve position and have the solenoid back in a reset position.

Stiffer springs will make the return part of the cycle faster with less of a slowdown on the strike portion.

I agree, but you will see what I am talking about with the power issue I mentioned in another thread. 15 ms is plenty of time for the valve to work. I had to run the numbers before Sergey would change the board, and we still didn't know for sure if it would work.

BTW. I have had the gun at 100% for a burst of about 60. If the clutch is not perfectly tuned the stock auger spring does crazy things like compress, and jump out of the cog. I made another auger spring for the last video. I shot the gun without adjusting the clutch from using the stock auger spring. If your auger does not use a spring I really would like one. Please PM me if you would like to sell me one.

What was the max you got with a long burst of like 200 rounds?  I am wondering what the rate is over several seconds so the mechanical system has balanced itself out.

I'm not planning to do any further testing with this mod. I gave everyone all of the data I gathered, and almost everything I did to I did to get there. I have to say it rubs me the wrong way when you ask for more info (when you have 4K boards to play with), advertise a new magnetic auger for sale (you'er welcome BTW), and then don't even want to sell me one.

Lol! Sounds like you don't need any of my extensive knowledge on how to find the dog house. There is a strict no girls alowed policy in place at the bat cave so unfortunately I was tasked with the cleanup. I was however tempted to leave it for a couple of days to get that freshly obliterated coconut fragrance in the air.
