I did all that, too. But you know what I thought was the biggest issue is that the threads on these are machine cut, so no two are the same. When you screw the head on tight, the hole in the stem can end up anywhere in relation, not in line with the hole in the breech block. Their solution was to channel out a groove, all the way around the hole, between the seals, so that the air can get around to where ever the hole happens to be. I drilled a new hole in the right place that does line up with the hole in the block. And I drilled out that port in the block, too. I can see straight down the inlet port into the inside of my stem, now.
