So we are halfway through the year. This is the time when my real job screeches to a halt. I really wish I had something to show, but it's all irons in the fire at this point. I figure if I put enough in something will come out. Has anyone got anything to share?
Maybe I can stir the pot. I was building a bird last week for someone who gave me free reign. I went completely through it. When I thought about the barrel seal, and the whole Canadian seal debate I came to the realization the amber colored seals with the three inner tabs don't have a damn thing to do with limiting FPS. Knowing how the gun works I believe those tabs are there to prevent "roll out", and "double shots". If you look at the ID of the black seal from EAA it allows for much more air escape. Both of them are supposed to seal between breech bushing, and face of the valve body.
Maybe the only thing that made me think of this is that this bird had an amber seal that was an elongated circle. I've never seen that before, but it serves the same purpose for for controlling what I call bb dribble in not so polite terms.
