Title: MCX Repair
Post by: RCMer on June 03, 2016, 04:18:16 PM
So after several months my MCX started jamming with the same wad cutter pellets I'd been using. Then it started leaking CO2 out the receiver just like my 2 MPX's. To late now to get a refund. I called Sig and to my surprise they payed the shipping to send it back for repair

I got it back today and the repairs were... chamfered chamber feed ramp, replaced mag belt(pellets load much easier now) and replaced valve body assembly. So will see how long it holds up this time.

That "valve body assembly" is going to be the biggest problem Sig will have with the MPX/MCX.
As you may know, I had the valve stem break on mine. I expect we will see many complaints until Sig fixes their design.

It's going for $199. Saw one on sale a while ago for about $159.

It has a great weight and feel to it. Feels like a real firearm.
I would suggest waiting a while before buying one since there are problems that Sig needs to fix.

I didn't chrony mine.
